Yet another Fools Foundation transplant show. Delta of Venus is pleased to welcome MIKA MIKO (los angeles, kill rock stars/postpresentmedium) TWIN (olympia, formerly known as KING COBRA, ex-kicking giant/the need) MIKAELA'S FIEND (seattle, strictly amateur films)
9pm $5 All Ages
In the words of John Pritchard,
MIKA MIKO are a bunch of young lady punx from los angeles california, i've booked them out here three or four times already and had a blast every time. they call their music pony thrash, i call it the sweet summer jam, but whatever it is it seems to be making big waves across the nation this year and even made it onto to the cover of maximum rock n rool. here's a pretty sweet video off their lp and some hotlinks:

TWIN are from olympia, washington and were running around for a few years under the name KING COBRA, during which they did records for troubleman and kill rock stars. as TWIN they've stepped it up and been moving into split release territory with some of my contempo faves like mikaela's fiend (10-inch on strictly amateur films), shearing pinx (cassette on isolated now waves), and ??? future's bright for these here ladies, that i am sure of. bright futurist heavy music for the flannel slammahs. oh yeah, twin is rachel caerns and e.e. kwo and they rip:

MIKAELA'S FIEND = chris and donny, maybe you saw chris the other night shredding with his other band, Talbot Tagora...they were sikkkkkk! mf is another thing altogtether though, i'm super excited about these guys as individuals and as a band, they are super funny and rad dawgs maxxin on dr. pepper and rkelly trapped in the closet. yeah they get compared to lightning bolt all the time, who gives a shit? donny's a ripper enough drummer that that is totally NOT a bad thing. bring a pair of earplugs though, they loud. also, records on strictly amateur flims and some they did themselves:
